Penicuik Youth brass band has restarted its weekly activities at Beeslack High School every Monday and Thursday from 6.00pm to 7.30pm during school terms. We are now operating under COVID risk assessed procedures with social distancing / ventilation / face masks (except when playing ).
We offer small group (2 at a time) teaching for pupils from P5 upwards by experienced adult volunteer tutors, and a chance to progress from beginners to playing in Penicuik Youth Band. All tutors have up to date PVG checks. We work in partnership with Midlothian Schools instrumental teaching service complementing their offer and providing access to instruments to all band members.
The band practises as a whole group on Thursday evenings (alongside beginner lessons). Band members are provided with an instrument, music, a music stand and tee shirt/ hoodie. Annual subscriptions are £72.00, which can be paid weekly, monthly, termly, or annually.
